  • Two things to consider before buying Vintage Edison Light Bulbs

    Edison Bulbs Reflection

The look is amazing! There are so many fixtures on the market today that feature these vintage Bulbs. They’re available in so many shapes, sizes, filament designs, clear glass, or amber glass, it seems as every couple of months some new bulb arrives. With all those diversifications they all have the following in common!

The first thing to consider is the color temperature of those Edison bulbs! They are all very warm yellow color! Which is how they were originally designed. Be sure this matches your intended use for them.

The second thing is the Lumens! (Light output). All of the Vintage Edison Light bulbs produce considerably fewer lumens per watt than what we are used to from our standard incandescent light bulbs. This means that a 60-watt Vintage Edison Bulb will produce half the light output as a standard 60 watt incandescent light bulb.
