    Hanging Edison Bulbs

If you are even just a little bit handy with tools, you might want to consider making your own lamp. A project like this isn't as difficult as you might think. Just think about how creative your lamp would be. You can use our lamp wire, sockets, and Edison light bulbs to create the perfect lamp masterpiece. We suggest you go out and find the perfect vase to use as the base for your lamp. This is how it is done.

Once you have selected the perfect vase, you need to purchase a make-a-lamp-kit. These kits can be found online or at your local do-it-yourself store. Remember to buy the kit that matches the size of your vase. Make sure you choose a vase with a stable base or you have the option of buying a base kit for it. Now you need to measure and mark the center of the bottom of the base. Using a drill, make a ⅜ hole in the bottom of the vase. This is where the pipe rod goes and where you run the lamp wire. You then pick the adapter that fits best on the top of your vase. There is a lamp harp that needs to be attached, this is what the lampshade will rest on. The lamp wire will need to be threaded through the pipe in the vase and attached to the socket. The socket is then secured to the adapter and you now have an awesome lamp. Wasn't that easy?

As we stated earlier, you can choose from our selection of lamp wire, sockets and bulbs to make you new lamp exceptional. If you are into vintage lighting or steampunk or you simply want a unique looking light fixture, check out our website to see what we can offer you.
