What Are Light Cord Sets?

Our plug-in cord sets collection features both cloth-covered and non-cloth-covered sets. Plug-in cord sets are pendant or lamp cords with a plug already attached at one end of the cord.

The following options are available on most of our plug-in cord sets:

1. Cord set with just a plug attached
2. Cord set with a plug and an on/off switch attached
3. Cord set with a plug and a full range dimmer attached

There are many ways to use these cord sets.

1. Rewire or replace the cord on your old table lamp, floor lamp, or vintage fan.
2. Attach a light socket to these cords and you'll have a hanging light that could be swagged from the ceiling, drapes, or over a wall hook.

For your reference:

1. SVT-2 cords are round cords with 2 conductors where each conductor is color-coded (black & white) and insulated by a PVC plastic coating. Those are commonly used for a pendant, floor, and portable lamps. Most small appliances also use this type of cord.
2. SPT-1 and SPT-2 cords are flat parallel cords that are commonly used for table lamps and some floor lamps. The difference between SPT-1 and SPT-2 is just the thickness of the cord's insulation. The SPT-1 insulation thickness is  0.30", and the SPT-2 wire is 0.45".
3. The twisted cord is a reproduction of antique lamps and fan cords. This wire can be used for pendant, table,s and floor lamps.
