Light Bulb Socket Types:

E26 Sockets: Also known as a medium Edison screw socket, is a standard socket used for light bulbs in North America. Its diameter is 26 millimeters and it is designed to fit light bulbs with a medium base. The E26 socket is the most common type of socket used in household lighting fixtures, and most of the sockets listed in this collection are medium-base E26 sockets.

One of the main reasons for the popularity of E26 sockets is their versatility. They can be used in a wide range of lighting fixtures, including table lamps, floor lamps, ceiling fixtures, and wall sconces. This makes them a convenient choice for homeowners and businesses alike, as they can easily switch out light bulbs without having to worry about compatibility with the socket.

In addition to their versatility in different types of fixtures, E26 sockets can also be used with various types of bulbs through the use of adapters. For example, if you have a fixture with an E26 socket but want to use a smaller candelabra bulb, you can simply use an E26 to E12 adapter. This allows for more flexibility in lighting design and can save you from having to replace fixtures to accommodate different types of bulbs.

E12 Socket:  Also known as a candelabra socket. This type of light bulb socket is commonly used for small, decorative light fixtures. The "E" stands for Edison, as it is named after Thomas Edison. The number "12" in E12 denotes the diameter of the base in millimeters, which is approximately 12mm.

Keyless Light Sockets: Those are sockets without any on/off or dimmer switch/function on them. Ideal for lamps with switches on the cord, touch-base lamps, or pendant lights.

Dimmable Sockets allow you to adjust the brightness or intensity of the light emitted by the bulb. They offer a convenient way to control the ambiance and mood of a room by providing a range of lighting options.  The turn-knob controls the level of light all the way from off to full power. All incandescent vintage bulbs are dimmable and the vintage LED bulbs are labeled dimmable.

Push-Thru, Pull-Chain, or Turn-Knob sockets incorporate a built-in on/off function. Those sockets work with all LED and incandescent vintage light bulbs. We also have a collection of candelabra (E12), Medium (E26), and mogul (E39) base sockets.

UNO Threaded Sockets for shade holders and UNO fitters. This type of socket is commonly used on bridge arm floor lamps, and pendant light fixtures.
